A big thank you to those of you that came along and supported the Spring Craft Fair organized and hosted by the Sixth Form on the afternoon of Wednesday 16th March. This was a huge success and approximately £350 (with money still coming in!) has been raised so far for our partner schools in Bolgatanga and the Sixth Form’s choice of charity - Young Minds. A special thanks to Notarianni’s ice cream parlour for yet another supply of their delicious ice-cream which was as popular as ever!!

Above are some of our lucky raffle prize winners; prizes included 2 for 1 wristbands for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, family tickets to Hollywood comes to Blackpool and of course chocolate. Congratulations to all our winners!

Sixth Form Photography Field trip to Liverpool

Liverpool Sixth Form Trip
Our sixth form photography students experienced the day in Europe’s former City of Culture.

Students embarked upon visits to the City’s prime locations to include, the Albert Dock, Tate Gallery the Anglican and Metropolitan Cathedral.

Students had the unique opportunity to conduct a series of photographic shoots on location in line with personalised themes

Photography students created work based on themes such as, “Contrasts”, “Architectural Elements,” “Textures within the Urban Environment” and “Pattern and Line.”

Students gained essential technical experience in a range of lighting and weather conditions which can be applied to future practical work.

Well done to our students who worked responsibly and collaboratively throughout the day despite the challenging weather conditions. A special thanks to Mr Hardy who organised and ensured a safe trip.
