College Development Plan 2006-09

The draft College Development Plan for the next three years is now available.  Thanks to ideas from students and parents some new objectives have been included, for example, "Further Developing Extra Curricular Provision" as well as continuing with a number of developments that have been started over the past few years.  Over the next month senior managers will be producing more detailed action plans for each objective and department and pastoral teams will be updating their own plans to fully reflect the new College Development Plan. Travel & Tourism Trip to London

On Tuesday 2nd May 21 students from Years 10, 11 and 12 set off on a flying visit to London for the day. The trip was organized by Mr Robinson and was to develop the students’ knowledge of how the travel industry works. The group flew to London on the 0805 flight and spent the day visiting as many attractions as possible during the day. We visited the Science Museum in the Great Exhibition complex at South Kensington. Took in Buckingham Palace, walked along the Mall to Trafalgar Square, up Haymarket to Piccadilly and
Leicester Square and spent some time exploring the shops around Regent Street and Oxford Street. However the high-light of the day was a flight on the London Eye, the tallest observational wheel in the world which moves at 26cm per second - a full revolution taking over 30 minutes. Planning is already underway for the next travel and tourism trip to Paris; Y11 students need to sign up soon for a place on the course in next year’s L6th course.  Check out the Gallery for more photos.
