Well Done Class of 2020
Congratulations to St Mary’s Sixth Form Students for their fantastic A Level results this year. With a 100% pass rate in all courses, with over 50% of grades at A*/A/B and 84% of grades at A*-C at A level and 74% of vocational grades a distinction or distinction star, students at St Mary’s have excelled once again.
Due to the COVID19 pandemic and cancellation of exams, grades were submitted after a rigorous process to the exam boards following OFQUAL’s guidance. The exam boards then issued final grades following a strict standardisation process.
Head teacher, Simon Eccles commented: “I am delighted for our students, especially given the challenges they have had to face in the last few months. I am particularly pleased that all of the Academy’s Sixth Form students were able to access either their first or second choice of University, not a single student needed to use the clearing system. I am proud of the efforts of our students and of our staff, who once again have shown our expertise in helping students achieve top grades and access their choice of course or career path.”
