Form Time in the Sixth Form

Normally, all Sixth Form students are expected to attend form for 20 minutes before lunch every day. Due to the measures that have had to be put in place to manage the COVID situation, this hasn't been possible and there has been no form period in the Sixth Form so far this term.

Year 12:

We would like to reintroduce 2 sessions of form a week for Year 12. All Year 12 students are expected to attend afternoon form at 2:50pm - 3:25pm on Tuesday AND Thursday EVERY week starting on Tuesday 29th September. This slot of time includes moving time i.e. time for students to get to their form room in the Sixth Form and time to leave the site via the canteen.

The time in form will allow tutors to carry out important welfare and transition checks which the Sixth Form team feels are very much needed. It will give us an opportunity to discuss any concerns with students and develop positive relationships as form groups; something which we believe is integral to our Sixth Form.

Year 13:

Year 13 are asked to continue to attend their personalised one-to-one coaching appointments with their form tutor.

This arrangement will be reviewed at half term but if there are any concerns, students are asked to speak to their form tutor in the first instance.

Many thanks,

Mrs J Burrough
